Yes I usually avoid stairs. I wish that I didnt, because I knnow it is good exercise, but by the time I get to the top, I am usually so out of breath...and I have good lung function...it just sucks. I get embarassed because the teachers room where i eat my luunch is right at the top of the stairs so I usually end up walking up with other teachers. I have been pretty good lately. My school is so big that I am used to running around it all the time...and now that I have my own classroom I am used to talking and walking around the room and being on my feet.

But yes stairs SUCK the breathe out of me...

I take two steps at a time to get up there faster

I avoid the really steep steps (I can tell cause I'm out of breath AND my legs are burning as I reach the top) most of the time.
I take the escallator and sometimes even take two steps at a time but I often walk up the escallator and I reach the top much faster and less winded as well.

I do try to avoid them in crowded places because I get so out of breath & coughing a lung up.

When I worked I took them all the time......that was 9 years ago tho. Amazing how much 9 years difference can make.

I go up/down my spiral stairs at home ok. If I am really sick its difficult to go up tho.

Stairs don't really bother me CF wise the least, unless I have a lung inflammation or some other hindrance. But lately, it's getting a bit more difficult picking my legs up. But as long as there is hand rails along both sides of the stairs, I don't pay them any mind.
