Steam Mops

So you can use these mops on hardwood floors? I guess I'm paranoid about the steam warping the wood. I hardly ever actually mop my floors because of that fear - vacuum a lot, just little actual mopping. I do have a little handheld steamer that you can clean the bathroom shower and stuff with. It works really well, but I've only used it a few times since I bought it two years ago. Seems like too much trouble to put water in the thing and plug it in.

We have the shark one and it is worth the $79. I put a pergo floor in Malora's room and that is the reason for the shark. We also use it on the bathroom floor tiles.

My mom has one that she really likes (but it's not a Shark- she doesn't like the Shark brand of anything ). She did find out that she can't use it on her hardwoods- I think hers has a Glitz? sealer on it. You might want to check with your floor people before you use on on your sealed (or unsealed, prefinished) hardwoods.

I just use my little Swiffer sweeper with a damp kitchen rag instead of the Swiffer cloths- works great !

I have the Shark brand and like I said I love it. I just put water in and go. When I am done, through the pad in with the wash and I am good to go. I use it on my hard wood floors and my tile bathrooms.
