Steroid inhaler induced laryngitis/hoarseness with use of Advair

I started using Advair about two weeks ago and have been diligent in rinsing after each use. I also use a spacer to administer the doses. I now find my voice to be really hoarse and is coming in and out over the past 4 days. Is this to be expected with the use of advair? Any similar experiences?

Yeah that happened to me, the rinse helps but I found after I rinse, I give it a Minute or two and drink something warm, usally coffee in the morning, and a room temp coke in evening. However, it will go away. Best of luck Ed

I haven't had that experience w/ Advair & I have been using it for years. But as we CFers know, everyone is different. Maybe something else is going on ? Allergies ? Or maybe it will stop after some time of use ? If not I would discuss it w/ your Dr. & see if they have any ideas for you ..

I've been on it for years as well and don't have that problem.....hopefully it was a strange coincidence! Has it gotten any better?

It's gotten a little better the last 2 days. Maybe my body needs to get used to it? I'll see how I do over the next few days. Thanks
