I hate it when I am MIA...I miss you guys! Today wasn't so bad, I didn't sleep well last night. My legs get such pains and cramps in them, finally at about 5 am I had enough pain meds and muscle relaxants in me to drift off to sleep only to be awakened for vital signs *sigh*...no rest for the weary LOL! My temps are low grade...low 100's, so that is good at least I am not running those horrible high temps so the antibiotics must be doing their job. Mucus isn't as chunky either, still thick but that's just me. Fingers crossed...still not jinxing myself!!!!! Hugs to all of you, Jenn

We are totally Cepacia Twins!!!!!!!! My cepacia has been a nasty beast too lately! letting me off Iv's for only two weeks at a time, so I was on iv's for over six months!!!! right now I have been off three weeks, wish me luck! I have had low grade fevers for awhile so we don't know!!!!!

So glad you were able to check-in, I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers, get out soon! I wish there was something we could do to kill (or at least control) the cepacia village.

How about putting a "cockroach" like home in the lungs, for all those little "cepacia" bugs to take back to their colonies for a "shmorgasbord" and "cepacia genecide"?! Works for cockroaches!

What a Trouper, Jenn! A big "Banzai" for your relentless spirit!! Hope with that, you'll be in that wheelchair and heading for the door that says "eXit"!!

Nice thing about MIA's is their return back!! Glad to hear from you!!

Roschell I really feel for you...I don't know how you stand those IV's for such long periods of time without your kidneys freaking out or some other part of your body. My kidneys absolutely hate antibiotics so they have to be monitored closely. My GI tract is shredded too...I give you kudos in putting up with those IV's. Unfotunately for me, my insurance doesn't cover home IV's...so I have to remain in hospital to get them. Doesn't make sense huh? I do find that I am spending more and more time in the hospital and less time at home. In the last 6 months I have been in the hospital 3 times, each for at least 3 weeks with this one lasting the longest at nearly 2 months (that is if all goes well). I am certainly praying that you stay off those antibiotics longer...I hate it when those ominous temps come back and then the misery begins. Fingers and toes crossed for you!

Fred...Hmmm not a bad idea....wish there were something out there like that!!!
It is always good to see you too...I hope you have been doing okay as well.

Hugs, Jenn
