hey,
I was on IV meds for a week. And still am not doing any better. My cough is awful. Tonight I got a temp of 101.2 and I feel real bad.
Please pray that I don't end up in the hospital again. thanks.

So sorry to hear this! I hope you are feeling better soon.

Are you done with your IV antibiotics? I ask cause usually (actually since I was little) my docs never do IVs for less than 2 weeks. I think once I was on them for 10 days, but that was a rarity and cause I had a reaction to a med. I was under the understanding that a full course of IV abx is 2 weeks?

If you're still on them, not to worry... I know a recent thread was started on this, but oftentimes we feel a lot crappier before we start to feel better. I've been told by docs that its cause the infection is essentially getting its bu%% kicked and the toxins, etc. enter our body to cause us fevers, etc.

I often feel MUCH worse about 4-6 days after I start IV meds. I run a fever and just feel run-over. So, I think its pretty common.

Feel better! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
