Stimulus checks and SSDI

Julie,
If you had no federal income tax liability for 2007, you would have received $300 per adult with at least $3,000 in income, plus $300 per child for a total of $1,500. If, after earned income credit (assuming you qualified) and the child tax credit for all 3 kids you still had some income tax liability, then you should have received more. It's based on both income </b>and</b> income tax and it looks at each adult seperately. If you had no federal income tax liability for the year, you receive the smaller amount ($300/adult) vs. the higher amount. You should receive a statement in the mail.

I'm a stay at home mom and we got credit for me so you may want to check into that. Ours came out to $1800, $1200 for my husband and I and $300 for each kid

The morning news just reported that there are a lot of errors and there is a plan to fix it. I didn't follow the whole story, but, apparently you aren't the only one - and it's probably NOT due to your recieving ssdi.

Julie, I'm on SSDI and we qualified for the full amount ($1,200 per couple, $300 per child) and we received the full amount ($1,800). It sounds like you got shorted two kids.
