strange chest pain

Hi everyone, haven't been on here a while as i had a tune up at the start of december and i've been away at the beach for summer! So anyway to the point; i went for a walk this morning, about 4km, just a brisk walk you know, not going all that fast and i started getting a chest pain that i get sometimes when excerising. It was weird, like only on my left side and it just kept getting worse and worse if i kept walking to the point where i was crying because it hurt pretty bad. At first it was just a bit of pain, then it grew and like as i moved my arm back and forth it kept stimulating it sort of. It subsided if i took a break, but then just started back when i started walking again. Sorry i can't be very specific, has anyone got any suggestions? I mentioned it to my doc a little while ago but he didn't seem to know and wasn't overly helpful. Thanks a lot!

Sorry, no explanations here... but I've had a similar pain a few times in my life. I have never known what it is, and just put it down to something like trapped air, a mucus plug, inflammation or even indigestion...

Thankyou all for your replies. jfarel my last sputum culture pre admission did show aspergillus so maybe it could be that? is aspergillus serious? my culture also showed candida i think it was. Should these be treated or are they non-threatening bugs. Thanks again everyone.

Candida would be yeast that I know of and it can be treated with diflucan or maybe some other drug. I dont know anything about the asperigillus, so hopefully someone else can help you with that.
