Strange question.. Blue ring on the Pari Plus

This is a strange question but I can't tell if it is because I am getting sick and more short of breath but as I am sitting here doing my treatments I notice that on my neb cup (Pari LC PLus) the blue flap that is under all the holes is really a lot of work to move.. Seems like I am working to get a breath in with it.. sort of like it is sticking... feels like I am snorkeling...

I do wash my neb cups after each use.. but it feels as if it is sticky... even though when I feel it, it isn't.. Anyone with any ideas??? I am tempted to take the blue ring off... and see if that heps.... I don't want to have to struggle to breath while doing nebs.. that is silly..

I was having the same problem with my daughters neb. What seemed to help was taking the ring off and making sure the ring and the neb was completely dry (with a paper towel) and then replacing the ring. I think sometimes the neb looks completely dry but there is a little moisture under the ring makes that makes it stick. Hope this helps.

I hate those types of nebulizers basically because they always made me feel like i was suffocating( which of coarse i wasnt) . When i didnt have the side stream to use and i was forced to use the pari, i would remove the blue tab completely and throw it away.............. Adios to that problem !!

I now only use the side stream for my pulmo and the acorn one for my tobi.

I didn't know it was okay to use the acorn with the Tobi.. I thought the Pari was the only one approved to use with it..?? That would be great I have lots of acorns.. I also forgot that I have the sidestream one.. They gave it to me at clinic a while ago......

I ended up taking the blue tab off.. I am boiling it as we speak... so I will see if that helps..

Thanks

Acorn.. makes me think of the nut that the squirrel eats. I suppose it's not. If it isn't, what is it? I haven't heard of that before... Just curious.
