Supplements, Protein Powders, Drinks

I am wondering what those of you who use supplements (vitamins, l-argenine, taurine, extra C, GSH, DHA, probiotics, ect.) and drinks and snacks spend monthly on these products?

I am asking because I am trying to figure out if there is a way for us all to get these things at a lower cost. I am willing to do the leg work if you feel you'd benefit from something like this.

Warmly,

Jody, we use to spend about $420 on boost shakes, but then I won a 2 year case against ins. to cover them.

We do spend the following on products:
Pure whey protein isolate: $75.00
Calcium: $20.00
Milk Thistle (for the liver) $35.00
Vitamin C $15

That's what I have now, but I know there is more at home, I'll look and edit my response tonight.

We also use Boost Plus(I reimburse myself through flexible spending account). My daughter doesn't drink it every day so we spend probably about $100- 150/year. We also use acidophilus(just switched to Culturelle) which is much more expensive. $20 for 30 day supply. that's all i can think of. We also use Simply Saline 3% 2 times a day, which I am findong to be quite expensive as well, a small can is over $5.00 and with all her colds/thick mucus we go through alot of it.

Vitamins are not covered for me too. I think it's because lots of people use them without really needing them. I can say over and over again that i need them because of my cf but no chance...
