Swollen lymph Node

Today my right lymph node is significantly swollen, it feels like a small finger in my neck, but only the right one is swollen. I used ot have mine swollen ALL the time, especially before my diagnosis but it was always BOTH.

So, my question is, do others get just one?
Is this a sign of lung infection brewing (I dont feel like that)?
Perhaps I returned to work and caught a true cold?
Maybe it is the symptoms below exacerbated from going back to wrok?

Since wednesday night last week I have had a sore throat and drippy nose but nothing horrible. I wasnt sure if it was allergies or a mild cold, yesterday (upon returning to work) I still felt fairly good but wondered why it was hanging on so long--whatever it was.

Oh and I just did my peak flow which was normal and I do not have increased sputum however my temp is 99 and MY norm is 96.8.

Any input woudl be great!

Hmmmphh....might be the infection. I have never had ONE swollen gland in my neck, usually both. BUT...and i dont know if this is the case....I have a constant small bump in my lower back (possible gland, dont really know) and I can feel it on both sides, there are two, but the one on my left side is ALWAYS swollen.

I would say if you are concerned call the doc, if not wait a few days and maybe it will go away when your slight fever does or your sore throat.

Hope you are feeling better soon!!

I've had just one before. Sounds like your body is fighting something. Don't take Tylenol or suppress that low grade fever as it's helping fry those intruders. Get lots of rest and it probably won't even progress to the sniffles or worse a cf lung infection. Take some extra vit. c and zinc and you'll be all set.

Hi Lillian

i think this could very well be a cold, but of course i can't be sure.
It does sound like it. I would watch it couple of days. See if maybe a nosespray or something can help. And otherwise maybe call you doctor for a sputum culture or something.

Get well soon sweetie!
