Low t-cells usually mean that there is a viral infection. Viral infections cannot be treated with antibiotics.

Since people with CF tend to be very deficient in vitamins and minerals, it could be that your son has low levels of zinc. Be sure that he is taking the proper number of enzymes when he eats.
