Taking both Cipro & Azithromycim (Zaithromax)

My doc had just prescribed Cipro since I have a horrible cold that has gone to my chest. Last year I took Cipro & it did nothing for me. Anyways, I also take Zithromax M-W-F. If I take my a.m. Cipro, do I need to wait a certain amount of time before I take my Zithromax?

I'm not sure about the Zithromax, but I do know that Cipro should not be taken with calcium or multivitamins (like ADEK, if you take that). The best thing to do would be to call your pharmacist, or ANY pharmacist for that matter, and just ask them if they're safe to take together. This way, you'll know for sure - good luck <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

I was taking both a few weeks ago...but its been switched out until I kick this sickness...

Anyway, I didn't space them. I did however space my vitamins (multi and others) and anti acids to be a few hours after...

But ask your dr; they may have a certin way they or time want you to take it!

Are you shure you should take both??? Did your doc say so? If not, I would ask him, in my experience they often forget to tell you to stop one medication when they prescribe another one...
