Taking both Cipro & Azithromycim (Zaithromax)

Are you shure you should take both??? Did your doc say so? If not, I would ask him, in my experience they often forget to tell you to stop one medication when they prescribe another one...

I have taken both together ,at the same time, many times in the past. I'm curently on Cipro now along with Clindamycin and Biaxin. I used to take the Zithromax but my Doctor switched me to Biaxin because i could not remember the m-w-f thing. The Biaxin i take twice a day so i can just take it right along with whatever other antibiotics i am on. Biaxin and Zithromax have the same anti-inflammatory properties to them.( in case you are wondering why my Dr. chose Biaxin)

taking them both at the same time is fine.

they aren't metabolized by the same liver pathway and do not interact.

drink a lot of water.
