Do you think your back problems are due to CF? I've had lower back problems since I was 20. I don't know if it's from arthritis or osteopenia or what. I guess it would be difficult to determine if it's a CF thing or just because.

Hi all. I generally like my vest except when my muscles hurt from coughing. Otherwise, I find that it does a good job knocking the crap out of my lungs. When I don't do a session when I am supposed to, I do feel it. The things I don't like:
1)The hoses pop off all of the time, so I use bandage tape to keep the dang things on!
2) LOL, yes I have to turn up the TV too, my family always complains.
3) Haven't learned to type and do the vest efficiently yet and reading the screen is impossible!
4)Sometimes the vest rides up on me and percusses areas that shouldn't be.

That's about it...I do like manual CPT when I am really sticky better than the vest, but for everyday use, it is the best!
Hugs to all, Jenn <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I have the vest and have all the same problems I have read here. The itching the one person pointed out im curious about cause I get that to. Actually I get hives. but I found that if i take a shower and wear a good qlty cotton shirt seems to not give me the scratches. As far as the vest performance I have the newer one and its not as loud. I think it does a good job sure beats getting smacked around.

Good luck all.

paintfreak - perhaps the vest irritates my already dry, dry skin.
I also found that I need to wear a soft shirt also (with no bra )..and that helps but still not the total answer.

The other thing I don't like about the vest is that sometimes I get WAY too hot and I frantically strip the danged thing off. I can't stand to sweat, which in itself makes me itchy.
