Temp of 97.7?

No advice to really offer. Just wanted to add that that is about my norm in the 97.5-97.9 range. I hope having a low temp isn't a bad thing cause if not I have been nursing a problem for a few decades now lol.

Courtney's normal temp is about 97. One time we got straight off a cold plane and went to the hospital. The guy took her temp about 5 times because he could not believe her temp was 96.8.

I wonder if this is a CF thing? Anyone elses temp run low?

No real advice, just thought I'd tell you... all my numbers are always BELOW normal. My temp is uaully 97-something. My BP is usually something like 110/70. Insane. I'm still alive, though, so hell. Hah.

Blood pressure with cfers tends to be lower. Iv been as bad as 90/50 before, its to do with your lungs. Immediately after my transplant, my BP rose to normal figures for the first time in my living memory. As For temperatures, I measure in *C so Im not sure what 97 is, but my temp is always low too (35*C)

Amy -- throw your thermometer away, far far away , throw it to
never never land and dont worry about what a bit of mercury
dictates!! your body will tell you what you need to know, the
mercury plays little tricks with our little minds you know!! trust
your mind-- even though you are whacky p-)  , remember you get
period pain in your arm and i believe you sniffed too much paint
fumes once (that explains alot!), so chill out brussel sprout.

I think most people run temps that are lower than 98.6. I run 97.9 so when i have 98.6 then i start to even get concerned. So i wouldn't worry<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

My normal temp has been between 97 and 98 for as long as I can remember. And my normal blood pressure is about 90/60. However, if you feel different than you normally do, pay attention. Hopefully the extra rest will help.

I tend to run in the 97 range too. Maybe it is a Cf thing. Or maybe that is why I am cold when others are wearing shorts and t-shirts and I am not.

My son was just in the hospital, and as you know, they take vitals, including temp, a lot! He was usually somewhere around 97. I thought it was because they were using an ear thermometer though, which tend to read low.

I guess I'm the odd CFer out...My temp usually runs around 98.9 - 99.5. I really keep an eye on things when my temp starts going over 100.0. For me, I consider 99.8 to be a low grade fever. I rarely have a temp of 98.8 or lower. My blood pressure on the other hand is low (unless I am angry, then it hits the fan). My normal pressure is 90/60 to 110/80. I have had 80/50 before, I guess I was really chilled out that day. Many times the nurses or CNAs will check my blood pressure twice to make sure they got it right.

I don't have cf and mine is usually in the 97s too. I have freakishly low blood pressure too. Slightly higher than that of a dead person I've been told!! ;-)
