Theophylline-does anyone use it

Hi Everyone.
Does anyone use any of the "old" Asthma drugs like Theophylline or Proventil repetabs. My Asthma component of my CF seems to be my biggest PIA! I just got out of the hospital after a one observation and a dose of steroids. This is happening so much that I am wondering if I need to try some of the old drugs. I am already using Pulmicort & Serevent & Spireva and Albuterol. Thinking that if I got the drugs through the blood stream instead of inhaled it might work better. My reg doc was away but going to ask when he comes back.
Any feedback appreciated.

Have you tried Singulair? My friend's daughter is on it for her asthma, and it seems to help. I also take it (but I don't have asthma), and it has helped considerably with my sinus infections (no longer chronic- yea!). It seemed (for me) to take a while to "kick in", but now I know if I miss one...

Oh, and Fruity said in a post in my thread about the nebs and vest order that she uses proventil instead of Xopenex- you may want to pm her, incase she doesn't see this .
