Thirst ??

Okay, here's an odd question: Have you started drinking a flavored, sugar free water? Certain brands I tried left my mouth feeling worse than before I drank it, but brands like Propel don't...???

Oh yeah, the diabetic thirst is hard to quench as far as I'm concerned. I was diagnosed 27 years ago with CFRD, and I remember it like it was yesterday. I didn't have a dry mouth or cotton mouth, as you put it, but just a need for water or any liquid all the time.

Hi, my dr. told me to drink a lot more because of the HS. I noticed when I use it I get the cotton mouth the next day. Also this time of year with the pollin blowing??!! Here in the east it is windy and it is out on the windshield of the car all the time. That does it for me the most. Lastly, Dasani Water, it makes my mouth dry and makes me want more water

Ps. how is your lung. Here is a Q - my dr told me Hemops. is like a nose bleed it can come without worning or without doing any thing to prompt it. Do you think this is true? It happened to me once when I was out side. Just started. oh well...

Cyndi,
I experience dry mouth with Dasani and Aquafina. Can't stand the taste. How odd that we have that in common. I'm going to do some research as to how Dasani treats their water. hmmmmm

Thanks all....

Uli>>>I dont think its thrush. I usually have pain with that not thirst.

AnD>>>I dont drink any flavored water. They actually arent appealing to me.

CyndiW555>>>It could be the weather. I am in NY. My lungs are better. No fresh blood for almost week now. For me the hemoptysis is usually triggered by something. At times that trigger can be pretty small or even unnoticeable. Such as being PMS if I dont pay attention I dont always know.

The cotton mouth has eased. I realized that I had it for awhile after eating Chinese food with tons of Soy Sauce. If I remember correctly had this problems awhile back when eating with tons of soy sauce. Odd....hmmmm!

I am not 100% sure about this but I am going to put it out there.

IF you are thirsty and have dry mouth and ONLY soda is quenching the thirst and you KEEP drinking SODA - you may be getting dehydrated. That is how soda works it can act as a diuretic and it dries you out and can make you even more thirsty. Maybe try drinking water or milk or juice or ANYTHING NOT carbonated like soda. Something maybe like gatorade or powerade or something to rehydrate you. Sodas are addictive in that sense they make you need more to drink so you keep drinking soda lol.

As for the high blood sugar thing - if it is something that correlates directly with high blood sugar and frequent urination THEN I would worry or be concerned but if you are noticing it with sodas it may just be a matter of hydration or dehydration.

Just a thought.

Take Care and hope you get it worked out.

I dont normally drink soda. I only drank soda because water wasnt working, I was desperate & the bubbles seem to break thru the cotton mouth.
