Hey everyone. My husband has been recently diagnosed with CF and he has spent the last two days throwing up blood and stomach acid. He is not on his meds right now b/c we don't have health insurance and the medication is so expensive as you all know. He also has a very swollen tongue full of those little "lie" bumps and thrush. Do any of you have these problems?? I'm going to call the CF clinic tomorrow but don't want to take him to the hospital unless really necessary b/c of the expense. Any help, advice, suggestions would be WONDERFUL!

If it were me i would get him to the ER. Without insurance they may get him some state
assistance for his health insurance needs. This does not sound like something that
you should wait on for too long. Throwing up for 2 days and throwing up blood almost
sounds like an intestinal blockage which if it were, is an emergency and warrants a trip to
the ER. Please let us know how he is doing when you find out what is wrong .
