i've got a trip planned to go home in july. i just booked my flight. i'm really excited and nervous all at the same time. this will be my first time flying in 4 years. i'm wondering if anyone has any tips for me. aj is flying with me, he's never flown before. so it will be interesting to see how that goes in itself. i'm taking my vest as a carry on and a vera bradley duffel bag. here's were my nerves come in. i'm trying to figure out how i'm going to get to my connecting flight, in an airport i've never been before, with myself, aj, my vest, and my carry on bag. my doctor is mailing me a letter stating what the vest and eflow are in the event i have a problem with that. i just remembered that i still have my jeep baby carrier that i can wear. aj will just barely still fit into it. so i think that will help with getting to the connecting flight. from the time my plane lands and the next one takes off it says there is a 52 min layover. can you see why i would be nervous? anyways if you guys have any tips for me i would appreciate it!

Do you mind sharing what airport your layover is at (PM is fine). I can then give you a better idea if you will have issues with an hour to make your connection.

On the other issues, you won't have any issue with security. Just make sure your medical stuff is seperate and let them know before it goes through the scanner. They will hand-check, and you should be fine. This includes any liquids like your neb meds. Also, your medical stuff does NOT count as a carry-on.

Just let them know at check in about your situation and they can arrange to have transportation from your arrival gate to your connection. They use the golf cart type carts and there is room for your luggage on the back. It will mean having to explain your CF to them most likely as these are generally reserved for disabled people.
