TMJ

On occassion, I have TMJ pain in my jaw. I was driving last week when I started to feel some slight discomfort in my jaw when Instinctively, I puffed up my cheeks and kept them puffed up and decided to continue puffing up for a few seconds.

Whenever I remember throughout the day to puff up my cheeks, I do and I have no more tmj pain. I think what I am doing is reversing the clenching or releasing the tightness in my jaw. I creating an opposite effect of the clench. It is like an internal jaw massage.

It works for me and I hope it works for someone else. Just passing some info along. I practice this in the morning, afternoon and before bed. I also think it is good for facial exercises by toning the skin and muscles of the face.

You are welcome Sonia

I try to practice this when I remember as I feel it keep the tmj away for me. I can feel less tightness right where my neck meets my jaw below my ears. There is hardly any tightness.
