We had 3 month supply of Tobi,Pulmonzne, Lantis and Humalog insulin, in our refrigrator. I came home, after being gone for a week, only to realize our refrigrator broke. Does anybody have any idea if these meds are ruined, our is there anyway of salvaging any of it.

I'd say you need to talk to your pharmacist. Take the temperature in the fridge so you know at what temp they have been stored. But with the warm weather, my guess would be the waste basket just ate it. <img src="">

I believe that the Tobi is good out for 28 days- I will check and see what mine says if I still have the insert when I get done with my vest <img src=""> . The pulmozyme is good for 24 hrs., and the rest I don't know about, sorry. I would call the pharmacy and ask too <img src=""> . The suggestion about checking the fridge temp is a good one! Is anything still frozen in the freezer? That might give you an idea of how long it's been out.

Sorry that happened! Ugh!

Edit: here ya go:

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>TOBI is supplied in single-use, low-density polyethylene plastic 5 mL ampules. TOBI is packaged in boxes of 56 ampules (14 flexible, laminated foil over-pouches, each containing 4 ampules).

NDC 53905-065-01

Storage
TOBI should be stored under refrigeration at 2-8°C/36-46°F. Upon removal from the refrigerator, or if refrigeration is unavailable, TOBI pouches (opened or unopened) may be stored at room temperature (up to 25°C/77°F) for up to 28 days. TOBI should not be used beyond the expiration date stamped on the ampule when stored under refrigeration (2-8°C/36-46°F) or beyond 28 days when stored at room temperature (25°C/77°F).

TOBI ampules should not be exposed to intense light. The solution in the ampule is slightly yellow, but may darken with age if not stored in the refrigerator; however, the color change does not indicate any change in the quality of the product as long as it is stored within the recommended storage conditions.</end quote></div>
