Hey guys,


I know I posted a while ago that I have TOBI to give away because I'm resis and no longer using it.

Would you believe I was trying to locate my pulmozyme in my fridge and I bumped into another case of TOBI. And my fridge isn't all that big...

So if you are on TOBI, and you don't have insurance (or your insurance makes you pay a high co-pay or whatever) let me know.

Actually, Amy, anyone giving another person any type of med is illegal. Tobi included. Uncallled for calling someone an idiot,, GEEz they were either just trying to help or they were making a joke.I didn't hear anyone call you an idiot for making a mistake or making a joke. PLease can't you be kind.

My point is, that anyone that does not have a license to prescribe it is at fault for practicing medicine without a license......you and I both included..I someday in the future will be able to prescribe meds but right now, I am not able to and I am a nurse..

I have a ton of meds still in the box never opened. I give them to my CF clinic. God forbid I was to give them to someone and they got sick.. Big lawsuit and bottom line practicing without a licenses is huge.

IF you have extra drugs give them to your local CF clinic or whatever. Anyone giving another person Tobi that does not have a license to prescribe it is at fault for practicing medicine without a license......

God forbid I was to give them to someone and they got sick..I AS A NURSE AND YOU AS A PERSON would be so screwed,,, Big lawsuit and bottom line practicing without a licenses is huge and you can go to jail for it...I am even afraid to give someone and aspirin because the law states you are always a nurse first, and I need an order to give it.. now that is a pain

If you give meds to your CF clinic after a pharmacy has dispensed it to you, THAT'S illegal. Doctors or any other provider for that matter are not allowed to distribute medicine to another patient after dispensed by a pharmacy after the patient has received it.

You should know that.

I have tried to give my TOBI to my CF clinic and my local CF chapter. Both illegal.

Oh exuse me, I thought you were looking to give your drugs to other ppl because you don't need them anymore. which is illegal and practicing without a license. I am not sure what my CF doctor does with my stuff. I don't use the scandi cal at all and also I have a ton of other enzymes. WHat my doctor does with them is his buisness, he has the authority to dispense them. I do not (yet)

Doc doesn't have the authority to dispense meds to patient B after they have been given to patient A.

You better do your research because this is against the law.

Then what makes you think it is legal for you to do Amy. Doctors can't even do it what makes you think it is okay for you..I don't really care what you do, my problem is your rudeness towards the poster who suggested posting it on ebay.. Calling him an idiot because it was illegal is well... using your own words..idiotic because you are willing to do the same thing.

Sorry, but i have to agree with Jennifer on this one. Calling someone an idiot, is a very rude thing to do. So what if anon was cracking a joke, maybe he/she didn't know it was illegal.
Just because you have a medicine background and know certan things doesn't mean we all know the legal side of things. I know i don't, and probably would have suggested the same thing., not meaning any harm by it just wanting to help.

Its nothing against you Amy, i just don't like people calling other people names for no apparent reason. It was uncalled for, that's for sure.

It must be rough going through day to day life if one can't handle being called an idiot.

Holy cow - if I had so little problems in life that I had time to be sensitive to being called an idiot, I would have a fabulous life.

Knowing legality has nothing to do with my medicine background. Jen has more of a medicine background than me, and SHE didn't even know that her doc wasn't allowed to give a med to patient B if a pharmacy dispensed it to patient A.

My background has nothing to do with it.

I don't think anyone is being "hypersensitive", i just think there is no reason to call people names especially for no apparent reason.

I actually do know that they can't do that, only from personal experience. My pharmacist wouldn't even take back a drug that they gave me that I walked out of the store withm turned around and walked back in. I know they can't do that because they can't be assured that nothing happend to the drug. Same thing when a nurse gives meds, It can not leave my hands till it goes to patients moutj.

I don't know if it is different for scandi shake or not. I don't know what my dr does with it, for all I know he throws it out...

that wasn't my point, my point was the poor anon poster, and I guess I have personal intreste invested in this becasue recently I went out on a limb and gave ppl an open invitation to my life. I have so many supportive friends in my life, and so many wanted a chance to read posts and threads of the ones I speak of so often. I am not saying put on an act just don't be rude.

I told them about all the love and support they would get here, They were afraid to post with thier name, wanted to break in slowly... so being called an idiot for not doing anything wrong sure changed their mind fast.

The difference between you amy and a lot of other ppl on this board is when they make a mistake and hurt someones feelings they own up to it, not blame shift.... You are blamming some else becasue they can't handle your rudeness.

Take responsibility for what you say and don't blame others because your words hurt them
