Thanks guys! At least I Know I am not alone!!!

Maybe I will ask him about the Colistin in Novemeber when I go...I better write it down to remind me LOL!

The first few days I do 4 Albuterol nebs if I can or 3. Just to help me breath but then I get tight again with in a few hours. Maybe I will try taking my Serevent right before I do the TOBI and see if that helps...worth a shot!!!

Thanks again. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I'm on the 28 day on 28 days off cycle with TOBI.
This cycle it was awful. I had tightness in the chest. couldn't stop coughing. all the jazz.
I did 3 treatments like that (even though I didn't finish them).
I decided to take a 1 day break. no TOBI for at least 24 hours.
I tried it last night and this morning and had NO PROBLEMS!!!!
I have no clue why.
good luck to you <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I don't inhale Tobi usually, but i did do one two week course (twice a day) a few months back partly just to see what it was like and partly coz i was feeling a little junkier than usual. didn't have any side effects at all, and after three days i was as clear as a bell. i will try inhaled tobi next time i get sick instead of oral or iv antibiotics and see if that will be enough to clear me up. i think it possibly only worked so well for me though, because i've never used it this way before and i seem to be very lucky in general as far as side effects to drugs go.

I have used Tobi (and Tobramycin before that) for what seems like ever. I've never had any problems until recently. I was actually wondering if perhaps I'd become resistant because it feels like I'm getting sick whenever I start my Tobi ON month. After reading this thread however, I'm thinking maybe I'm just becoming less tolerant of it. I'll have to check with my doc on this too! I do Colistin during the month I'm not doing Tobi, so I'm always on some inhaled antibiotic or another.
