Tobramycin...

I've been on my Tobra cycle the past month and I've noticed that I've had blood in my sputum very often, as well as one time coughing up pure blood. My pft's were down a bit so they thought maybe I had some crap and I was given cipro and septra. So over the next week the blood stayed, so I told my doc and they put me on pred. I was given it for 2 weeks and didn't really notice a decline in the amount of blood.

Originally I had my suspicions that it could be tobra and I mentioned it to my doctor, but he said to stay on it. Anyways it didn't go away from any of the meds so I decided to stop it for a few days, and voila no blood in my sputum.

I started back up again today because I didn't want to stay off it for too long, but now I'm 99% sure it's the tobra.

I'm fine when on tobi as far as I can remember, but tobramycin seems to take a toll on my lungs.

Anyone else sensitive to it? Should I consult my doctor and tell him about it? Should I stop it right away, or keep going till the end of the month?

I cannot tolerate Tobi because it makes my bleeding worse and same with Pulmozyme too. It took me a few years to convince my Dr's that I was right. But now I no longer take those meds and they support me about it too.
