Thanks for the well wishes and experiences with IUI. The procedure went good, but I had quite a bit of cramping for an hour afterwards.

It's so hard to have to wait now!!!

Caroline- most fertility doctors schedule your IUI for the day after a positive OPK (rather than the same day) because ah LH surge usually means your egg will be released in 24-48 hours. The egg only lives 24 hours and the sperm live 2-3 days.

Take care,
Leah 26 w/CF, mom to non-biological son, waiting to see if IUI worked!

Glad it went well! I'm familiar w/ how OPKs work - I was just curious especially since you got your + so early in the morning. For me I have a very short window of LH surge and then ovulation. I feel that I ovulated about 6 hours after I got a + OPK this time around (I had been testing for days and it was clearly negative before and after that day). But I know most women have a day warning <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Hi,

It's a no go. I thought I was having early pregnancy symptoms, but turns out it must have just been premenstrual. So we'll try again next month!
