thank you all, I actually had my husband sit with a timer and time me this afternoon, and it was 1 min.46 seconds, so that seems more reasonable. I guess with my first day yest. It seemed to fast and when I started counting I was probably off. but I got nervous. I think as time progresses I will probably make it to 2 mins as well. I wash it in the soapy water as well and then sterlized at night. I am waiting for my Control III to arrive which I will then use that in place of the sterlizer. Pat/55-CF
 
I would actually stick with the steam sterilizer. It's the recommended way of sterilizing meds because Control III doesn't kill spores, so it's not recommended for use with CF patients (actually not approved by the FDA for CF).

The 1:46 time sounds about right. I have not found any slowing of the time over the months and I've only used the steam sterilizer to clean the nebs...
