Toothbrushes

this may be a little off topic but I was reading another post & thought about it...

how often do you change your childs toothbrush, I know the obvious, after every infection but what if the culture MRSA or Pa, should it be changed daily, should it be sterilized like the nebs?

Im crazy & change my own toothbrush every 2 weeks so I change my kids that often also.

I'm crazy, too. I throw out toothbrushes every two weeks, or after every cold. We all have our own toothbrush holders on our dressers, we don't even keep them in the bathroom. (I think that is gross, would you leave a cookie in the bathroom for 8 hours and then go put it in your mouth? lol I might beat you in crazy).

I have never thought about sterilizing them, they've always been so disposable.

I do think its something that should be addressed more. Between thrush, PA, MRSA & whatever else grows just in our mouths.....why not err on the side of caution.

I pick mine up from the $$ Store so its cheap. Now if you have those electronic ones that get pricey to replace....sterilizing might be the cheaper way. Either way you cant help but think....EWWW and this is coming from a person who is FAR from a germaphobic!
