Hi Jenn!! I read your recent posts and I hope & pray everything is going better for you.... if you need to talk, you know you can always call!! I'm a nervous wreck about the trip as you can imagine... I'm not bringing my vest as it just isn't practical to lug around and I'm terrified to leave that thing for more than a day!

Uli -- Thank you. I heard Australia was strict. Do they go through your checked in bags out in the open? You must be quite a traveller!!

Well it is quite a while since I have been to Australia, but at that time they checked with the dogs in front of the passport control as far as I remember, so yes it was in the open.

I live in Canberra which is a few hours drive from Sydney. I have not been out of Australia recently, only travelled domestically which isn't as strict. I have never had them questions my medication, however, I'm guessing it's a bit hit and miss. Sorry I can't give you much advice but good luck and I hope you have a great time (even though it's Winter here...)
