Traveling with Cayston and Disinfecting

I am going on vacation next month and it will be my month to be on Cayston. I really don't have room to pack the baby bottle sterilizer for this trip. Once I get there I don't have access to a dishwasher either. Is there a way to effectively disinfect the neb cups without the sterilizer? Years ago I used CONTROL III (I believe) to clean cups. Can this be used? I will be gone for 6 days.

We wash the Altera with the hot soapy water. Then I sterilize by putting 2 cups of water in the microwave to boil, depending on microwave , it takes about 2.5-3 min. to get 2 C. of water to boil. I then put the Altera parts in the boiled water for about 3 min., drain, and put to dry on a paper towel. I always get a room with a microwave. It's a lot easier to carry a microwave proof container than the giant sterilizer. But if that's not an option, perhaps there is a microwave available in the lobby.

I recently finished the Arikace trial, which also uses the Altera system. To clean it, I washed it in hot soapy water and then let it sit in Control III (this is the cleaning process used by everyone in the trial). Though, you do have to rinse it afterward - the directions said to use tap water, which seemed wrong to me, so I rinsed with sterile water instead. I don't know why the "official" cleaning process is different for the Cayston handset and the Arikace handset...

I have used microwaveable sterilizer bags sold for breast pump parts. The ones I have are called "Medela Quick Clean Micro-Steam Bags." Of course you wouldn't want to put the metal part in the microwave!
