treatment time

Okay this might sound weird, but I am wondering what you guys do to dispose of your mucus. I do not mean the once in a while cough I mean when you are doing your treatment. I find that tissues are too much of a pain because they get saturated easily. I am trying to find another option. I know this is a really weird question, but heck we all do it!

I have a small bowl that i spit my mucus into...after i'm done with a treatment i dispose of the mucus and the tissues i've used to blow my nose during into the trash can. My doctors and i like this method because i can get a better idea of how much i bring up better then i could if i spit into tissues everytime. So people think its gross but my family is used to it. Hope this helps

I have heard others say that they use plastic or paper cups. that way they can just throw the whole thing out.Andrea

I'm a really big recycling freak, and so I try to keep a few plastic soda bottles around. One in my car, by my bed, ect. You can use them a few times, and toss 'em, but the best part is that they have a cap to screw on. There is nothing biohazard about mucus, it's just not pretty.Debbie

I spit into the toilet. Sounds gross, but I sit in my bathroom, read a magazine, do my acapella, and spit in the toilet...fun stuff!
