Trial Work Month

My question is how is SSDI's month tracked? Through invoice date by the employee (SSDI recipient) or by the date the employer cuts the check.

I received my 1099 from last year and it only showed an annual amount. Did my employer submit more detailed - month to month - information?

I want to make sure not to go over the SSA's idea of a trial work month ($700 in 2009) but am curious do they base it on date the work is completed, check issue date or just take the annual amount and divide by 12?

Does anyone know for sure?

I work in a small shop, literally only 3 of us and my boss is one of my best friends. Each year S.S sends work a sheet for Cathy to fill out stating what I made each month. So each year we both sit down and go back on the computer and fill in exaclty how much I made each month. I would think that if they send it out on me that they do it on all SSDI reciepents but I could be wrong.
