I have taken Bactrim for quite a long time now. No noticable problems, but quite honestly unless I go into an allergic shock or something. I do know that the terrible under the skin pain acne I get disappears as long as I am on it!

Yes, Bactrim is a Sulfa drug. They have a mark on my chart to avoid the usage of Sulfa drugs.
On the note of nausea, I do get nausea with Cipro. I was only commenting on the nausea with Bactrim. I have to take Cipro with something (even crackers) in my stomach or else I get nausea/vomiting. I have thrown up lots of times from the Cipro.

I was on Bacrtrim when I was 8 or so and I got hives all over, a high fever and vomitting. They've never given it to me since.
However, the first 24 hours of any/all IV meds I get a high fever. I've always been that way.

i also have an allergic reaction to bactrim... i develop a fixed drug eruption, it's a egg shaped mark on my side below my armpit.when i take it gets deep pink, after i stop i turns light brown and stays, i still have it after months and months. the last time i took it, the whites of my eyes became red... needless to stay i pretty much have been staying away from bactrim....
