tube feedings

My 13 year old son just got a PEG feeding tube.
We are trying to get information on how to secure it comfortable and safely so he can go back to playing sports.

Hi Amy -- My daughter has a mic-key button, we never had a peg. BUt here is a link to a parenting site that has a whole forum just for tube feeding issues.

there are lots of people there that have kids with PEG tubes and I know there have been threads showing pictures on how to secure it.

Hello Amy-our oldest is 9 and he has had his button for about 3 years. He has a mini button which is like a bard but locks in like a mic-key. He plays soccer and never seems to have a problem. He does wear a tighter tank top under his jersey so it hold it closer to his body. His whole soccer team knows about his button so it isn't a big deal. He has gotten hit in it a couple of times but then he just needs a minute and he is ready to go again. Is this button one that can be switched out for mini that is softer and more flat? Hope this helps.
