i get an iv about every two to three years. i got a picc on dec 12th and hope to get it out jan 2. the last time i had an iv was in 2005.

3gr, when oral antibiotics aren't working to regain the lung function your child once demonstrated it is time for IV antibiotics.
IV's shouldn't be given by a calendar schedule but rather when the body has been in a downward spiral IMO or at a plateau at a lower level than doc/patient thinks is where it should be.
