Two breastfeeding questions

Hi. I have been out of town for 2 weeks so missed your ques. As far as gassiness many babies don't tolerate cows milk protein (they are NOT lactose intolerant - breastmilk has lactose). Try eliminating dairy for several days (though it can take up to 2 weeks I believe before it is completely clear). Logan couldn't tolerate cows milk protein for about 18 months. Now he does just fine. Scarlett tolerates it a lot better than Logan.

If dairy doesn't do it, there could be other culprits in your diet such as soy, wheat, corn, etc. But dairy is the big one. Logan had major dairy intolerance symptoms but other babies are more subtle.
