I have developed joint pain and muscle pain - not sure if it's CF related arthritis (docs are still working on that).Anyway - I was wondering if anyone tried something over the counter, like Tylenol Arthritis, and if so, does it help? Thanks!Piper

Check the dosage on tylenol arthritis. It could just be regular tylenol in a different box. My mother in law works for Bristol Meyers and she said that when they started relabeling excedrin to "excedrin tension" or "excedrin migraine" it was really just plain old excedrin but they put it in different boxes to target different consumers because they had passed FDA approval to advertise it as "migraine" or "tension" since they'd proven in drug trials that it worked. People just thought they were getting some new improved drug when it was really the same excedrin they'd been taking for years...

Hi Piper. I get achy and headachy all the time, especially in my legs. I just generally hurt all over and feel like crap! I take Ibuprofen 600mg twice a day every day. I can't live without the stuff! I tried Tylenol, but it just didn't do the trick. I've been on Ibuprofen for years and years now. I asked my CF doc about it when this all started and he said to take it when I needed it. Also, I think Ibuprofen is taken sometimes in high doses to help inflammation in the lungs? Don't quote me on that, I don't know all the details. You should talk to your CF doc about it though and see what he/she says. I've never been told I have CF related arthritis, but I've never asked either. I always just assumed I had poor circulation. Good luck and I hope you feel better.Martha 29, CF
