UNC this Friday

Well I just found out they can do my Nasal PD this Friday so I will headed to Chapel Hill this Thursday night and sleep over in their Ronald McDonald house.

IF anyone wants to meet me for dinner just let me know...

Since a Dr Donaldson is doing the test himself I should have the preliminary results right away....

SO excited, and I am so sure they are going to be negative!!!!

The waiting has been torture, so I'm glad the dr will be there and doing yours himself so you'll know at least some information right away! Hoping it's conclusive for you, too, however it turns out.

Will you be having a complete workup along with the NPD test?
Lauren described the test perfectly in my thread... that was pretty much Shawn's experience exactly.

No at this point I don't need a complete work up, my team at MUSC has done everything and sent them the results. We are hoping this will clearly rule in or rule out and no gray areas.

I am just getting the test done, talking to DR Donaldson and then leaving. They will talk to my doctors in Charleston and then if I wanted to go back for a consult I could.

I have a very strong feeling that this is going to be clearly negative so at that point, we would just continue along that path I am on and just keep an eye on me.

I am so praying for your results to be clear tomorrow, no matter what it is, just answers and the start of proper treatment would be amazing.

ALso, I have read somewhere on here that you have to stop certain medications before the test. They have not told me to stop any. Do you know anything about this?

i had an npd done for a study a while back and i don't think i stopped taking any meds before hand. it has been a while so i could be wrong...
i would totally meet up with you for dinner but i've come down with some viral crap and though i'm pretty sure it's not the flu i would hate to pass something along to you. i'm seeing donaldson thursday so we'll see what he says. i'm glad they were able to get you in! they are great about that at unc...

Best of Luck I had my nasal test done at UNC as well, I wasn't as lucky I got a definite postive. But I wish you all the best. Remember a postive attitude is the best medicine. don't forget to update us on yr. results.

I will for sure update you, probably non stop if I know me, which in fact, I am pretty sure I do.

I am just so sure it is going to be good.. you know how you know things sometimes????
