Update on my Brother

So my brother had his surgery on Dec 18/06. Wednesday sometime they took out the breathing tube because he couldn't breath without gagging and wanting to vomitt, so out came the tube. Thursday they took out more tubes, still doing wonderfully. Friday they took out ALL remaining tubes and IV's. He is eating, sitting up and walking now!!! On Wednesday Dec 28th they took out his Eppy(pain killers) and didn't have a good day as the pain that was hiding with the Eppy hit him very fast and well it was very hard on him, my mom and sister had to leave the room cause he was in sooooooooooo much pain(he was crying) there was nothing they could do for him, eventually he got something, I think my sister said it was "Advan" as he caused himself to have a panic attack. So today he is doing much much much better and the doctors are hoping to have him home by tomorrow (Friday Dec 30/06). The CF Docs say he is #1 on the transplant list beacuse he is doing so very well. He is healing well before he was supposed to.
I AM SOOOO HAPPY THAT MY BROTHER IS GOING TO HAVE 10 PLUS MORE YEARS AHEAD OF HIM!!!!
And I thank you to all who said a little prayer for him, Thank you!!
He is doing way better that was exspected...healing sooner and faster.

What great news! I'm so glad you let us know. I wish you all the best with getting the transplant. Tell your brother we are all pulling for him!

I am so glad to see your update! I sure sounds like your brother and your family will have a wonderful new year to celebrate this weekend. It is so great to hear that he continues to do well.
