Julie don't toy with our emotions j/k.
We are trying to be calm and not get our hopes up to much until the pregnancy test even though everything we read says we are pregnant we are trying to be calm about it (IT IS SO HARD!!!) We can't sleep and there are still 2 days left!!! I am sure we may sneak another pregnancy test So If it is out of her system that fast it was out with the first blood test thursday at 35? and it doubles every two days?? That is levels showing more than one okay now I am getting ahead of myself. I know your husband thought he would never be able to father he own kids it is a miracle we are given the chance now.

You want the HCG level to double in 48 hours, so it would have been ideal to have another blood draw to determine for sure.

But if she's indicating pregnant on a POS (pee on a stick) test even now (which is days after that 35 level), it's safe to "assume" that she is pregnant. The doubling factor is usually paid close attention to by doctors of women who have a history of miscarriages. Although all doctors seem to "use" it when doing IVF, regarless if there are male, female, (or both) issues.

I'd say it's safe to get your hopes up with the test 6 days after a 3d transfer of 35, then a positive home pregnancy test. Especially since she only did 5000 units. I did 10,000 and mine was out of my system in 8 days (they say 9-11). So between 3-6 days after that HGC shot, anything still registering HCG is caused by the pregnancy.

Also, tell her NOT to freak out if she has some spotting in the next few days. this is called implantation spotting and is completely normal. This is the fetus (or fetuses) adhering to the wall of the uterus. I freaked out because nobody told me, but some spotting is normal, as is a bit of cramping.

keep us posted please, I am so excited for you!

I don't know if either of you visit the pregnancy section on this website, but a good friend of mine (hannah, who ironically I MET on this website, LOL ) did her IVF about 2-3 weeks before you two. So if either of you need some support of someone currently going through this, she is on the pregnancy section a lot, and if she's ok with it and you are interested, I can get you her contact info.

I just KNOW you are pregnant, I just know it! And I am so excited for you.
