UPDATE ON THE TWINS!!!!!!!

Hi to all,

I've finally updated my CF male infertility website, www.cysticfibrosismaleinfertility.com.

Many people were asking about the pregnancy, the ultrasound photo.... so I finally updated it today.

On a similar note, just to keep everyone posted, Mark and I made a trip to the ER last night. This might be TMI for some so stop reading if you get grossed out by womanly issues.

We had taken an nap in the afternoon and were going to go to the gym. I went to the bathroom on the way out the door and was bleeding. Not a drop or two, but like I was starting my period. It wasn't bright red but it wasn't brown either. I had some spotting about a week ago, but it was brown brown blood so I wasn't too concerned then, although took it easy and it subsided. So, we went to the ER this time because we were both very concerned. Usually one doesn't go to the ER for pregnancy related concerns, but I am not far along enough yet to go to the labor and delivery floor because there's nothing they can do for me this early on. Surprisingly the ER saw me VERY quickly (and they were really busy) and did some blood work and an ultrasound. We got to see both heartbeats again, no pictures because that wasn't the point of a this particular ultrasound. The doctor said the looked good, same size and he couldn't see any bleeding around the sacs and my cervix is still closed really tight so that all looks good. Apparently bleeding is really common in early pregnancy and usually doesn't mean too much, especially if there is no cramping or other discomfort.

I followed up at work today (because my "boss" made me) and they wanted me to take the week off. I wasn't jumping for joy over that because I get bored very easily, but it does make me feel better that I can relax and take it easy. So, i'll probably be living on the website this week So that's the update. Everything seems to be progressing and I'm just going to take it easy.

Hope all is well for everyone else!

Julie, I am glad to hear that everything is ok. My daughter had something similar happen to her early in her pregnancy. Very scary but they told her the same thing that this is quite common. Take care and thanks for the update. You need to visit my blog - I finally got up enough nerve to actually post something on it!

Thanks everyone, I'm so glad I have this site to post on.

Liz, I read about you and your honey getting him tested for the CF gene and then off to the fertility doctor!!! Good luck to you, that is SO exciting to here. Keep us posted!!

Sue, I'll visit your blog tonight. Actually, I have a goal to visit all of them tonight as the boards seem less poplular and I can only imagine that a lot of the posting is now going on within the individual blogs. I do have a little free time on my hands .

My OB appointment has been moved to tomorrow because the doc. had a C section on Friday so that's one day earlier to see our babies again. I feel like a dork posting about every single doctors visit on here (and I think they are going to be frequent with twins) so I'll just update my website, unless nobody would be bothered and annoyed with me posting it here.

Much love to all of you!!!

I'm glad everything is okay. Early preg bleeding is scary & so common. I have had it turn out both ways (ended in miscarriage & also turned out to be nothing at all). I'm glad yours was the latter.

I'd say put the updates on your web site & we can stay updated there.

Hey Julie
I had sme bleeding early on with this pregnancy also - very scary! But My u/s showed a ealthy little beating heart, good lining and a closed cervix too. My OB says it is way more common than you'd think- (and sex can cause spotting, FYI ) The cervix just gets mice and juicy. Good luck!
