I got my button monday. I love it! Its a PEG button. Its very little and reminds me of the thing you blow into on an inflatable toy. It lays very flat and doesn't look bad at all.

We started my first feeding last night. We got 2 cans in at a rate of 60. I woke up feeling great. I was hungry around 11:30 which is great for me b/c thats when Im normally hungry.

The surgeon said that if I can I should keep the PEG button in around 3 months but that we could change it as early as 6 weeks. Of course right now I so no reason to change it as it works great.

I had no leaking issues last night, I didn't pull the tube out and wake up in formula or anything. I dunno how much of that will change as the swelling goes down though. All the tubings fit together really well though so I think this is the start of a great relationship!!!

Im pretty sore still and bruised.

Congrats! I hope it helps you gain weight and feel awesome!!

If you do run into any issues with pieces and parts, let me know and I'll see if I help you brainstorm. We got an AMT clasp that does a great job of holding the parts together.
