Hey i just wanted to give a update on Zoey. They moved her to
childrens hospital in Dallas, Texas. One of the best hospitals
around. Now she is actually seeing cf doctors and specialists. She
is having gi problems. She is on tpn and lipids. They can't get her
off of them cuz shes not digesting her food right. Its all coming
out of her ostomy. She weighs 8 pounds 10 ounces. Just thought i
would let everyone know how she is doing I haven't been on in a
while. I miss you guys!!!!!!

I'm glad your Zoey is with some CF doctors.  We have missed
you too!!  I hope they can get her digesting food soon.
 I am glad to see she has put on some weight since I heard
last.   Yea!!  Keep it up.  Know that you
always have love and support from all of us.  <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"><br>

Have they figured out her enzymes yet? Didn't Ashton2005 have similar problems after his surgery? L

Our son had the same issues. Have they talked about reconnecting her bowels a little early? Our son ended up coming home with his PICC and on tpn and lipids so just because she is still on them doesn't mean she can't come home. Talk to the drs and see if they think home health care is an option. It is a lot of work but it was so worth it for us. Danny was not gaining weight at all in the hospital but once he came home he gained like a champ.

Sorry i just read this post!!! yes ashton did have the same problems he was on TPN and lipids for a while.. everything they let him suck down came right back out after he ate!!! through his ostomy i mean.. well when the did reconnect him everything went through GREAT...so dont get discouraged even though i know it is hard!!!! zoey just may not have enough bowel there with the ostomy to digest food... little ashton did the same thing and he was completely off TPN and lipids 1 week after they reconnected him!!!! let me know if you need anything else or have any questions!!!!
