Son being tested for cf...

Lauren,

I just went through this at beginning of the year, the holding yoru breath, listening for every breath, fearing every time it is a normal cough it might be start of 'something'. I am sorry you have to wait, I know it is torture.

Thinking of it as a 0.2% chance is MUCH better in my mind than the 1/500. I tried to remind myself there is a higher chance of her having a myriad of other diseases and it was illogical to worry about all of those so I pushed (or tryed) to push the CF possibility out as well.

I will keep u and Issac in my prayers, but I am sure everything will be fine. Here is a funny story about my kids and having them tested.


I had both of my girls tested at 8 weeks just to be on the safe side. Of corse they both were negative but my oldest daughter at 3 months old developed this cough that scared me to death. I kept taking her to the pediatrician and even had her retested for cf then one day while we were at the doctor, I coughed and then she coughed. The doc laughed and said she is mimicing you. Sure enough I listened over the next couple of days and that is what she is doing.
