Upper lung pain

Hey guys,

I've developed some lung pain - it started about yesterday. It's not horrendous or anything. I am not coughing up any more mucus than i usually do, and the colour is the same as it always it. It is sore, (that's a better word) to cough and to take deep breaths in, but not infection kind of sore.

I'm not coughing up blood so i didn't rupture anything. Could it just be muscle soreness, or could i have possibly loosened some mucus up in an area that has been there for a while???

it's right above the breasts, right in the center (around the sternum i guess). I'm just wondering if anyone has any idea what it could be. As i said before, it's not horrible pain it's just really sore. Could it be caused from over-coughing or something?? THANX! Sorry if this has confused anyone!

I have been experincing lung pain off and on too and my docs ask if it hurts more taking a deep breath or if it hurts to touch... I say yes to all and the come back with irritation from couching ... because if it was the lung them selves then it wouldn't hurt more by touching the top of the area. not sure if it's the same your feeling but i hope it helps

Not gonna lie...the thought crossed my mind and it's slightly exciting. Are they hard to cough up?? it feels like if i have one really big, hard
cough something could come out of the area almost....coz it does feel plugged.
