My son takes (3) 250 mg tablets a day. He does not have any side effects. He started about 8 or 9 years ago (they just adjust the amount he takes) One of his doctors told us a long time ago that Actigal (and I'm assuming Urso) is just "simple syrup" basically sugar water. I do not know why it helps, but my sons lung funtions do not change drastically
