Using CF as a way to get what you want

I must say that I'm guilty when it comes to this.

I do sometimes play the CF card to get people to do something for me or as an excuse when I do something that others don't like.

Today it just kind of occurred to me that I do sometimes use having CF as a way to get what I want from people close to me.

Only times I use CF to get things is if im sick and I need things because of that,like carrying my o2 tanks,helping me with chores or cooking,getting funding for my oximetry machine,having help paying for stuff at the hospital ect.
I only ask for stuff if I rly need it or im worried ppl will think when I actually do need it im crying wolf.

Entropy not nice.... though I've never used that card, oh maybe once when my son who will be 20 next mt. is being really nasty. I will yell and say I am not a well women, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Why is this age such a mean age? Maybe you can tell me? Pat/55-CF

Well, to be clear, this is something that I RARELY do. I forget what I was reading that led me to conclude this, but whatever it was, I thought "wow, I do sometimes use CF as a means to manipulate people." And when I do it's usually in a situation like Proxy said... I don't use it to "get what I want" per se.

I'm not a bad person. I think that a lot of us do this without even realizing it.

and Pat, not really sure what to say about that... I never looked at my generation as "mean"... maybe "stupid" but not "mean..."

Well he is mean plain and simple unless he wants something like do my laundry, or lend me $20 till payday, or drop me off or pick me up. I finally said I am the stupid one here. I need to tell this mean boy NO and now I do. Pat-55/CF

I have on my "to-do" list to contact the area ski slope and see if they can cut me a deal on a season pass as helping the disabled person get out and ski. Before you judge, remember sometimes places like this may have quotas for stuff like this and that the handicapped do ski. Worth a shot - if not well then perhaps I'll daringly take it as a tax deduction instead.
