Using the vest while Pregnant

I am 27 weeks pregnant and my daughter is 16 months old and started using the vest about a month ago. When we do her vest she usually sits on our lap and watches one of her tv shows. I didn't think anything of it until recently, but is it okay to have the vest vibrating against my belly for 20 minutes each night?

Of course as a disclaimer, I'm going to say check with your doctor, because every pregnancy is different. BUT, there are a lot of women on this site with CF who are also moms, and used the vest during their pregnancies. There's even a video of one of the moms using her vest.

In the US, we are directed to continue using the Vest during pregnancy. I've never heard of any associated risk either. So I would imagine the same applies for your pregnancy - no known risk.

Hi,
I was worried about using the vest during pregnancy with concerns that I would dislodge the baby, etc.

I asked my high risk OB and she has no issue with the vest as long as it is not over the stomach, which it isn't for me. I also use the acapella so I alternate.

I am also now allowed to use my class B drug cayston too which will be nice.

Just to be on the safe side, I've been putting a pillow in between me and Sadie when I do her vest. I don't feel as much of the vibration and I don't feel any cramping

I'm not usually one for paranoi or unsubstantiated worry but....right now I cant help it.

We are doing our 4th Frozen embryo transfer with the last of our frozen embryos. I probably wouldnt have thought twice about it but I saw this accupuncturist who seemed very knowledgeable and then she started talking about not taking long trips, avoiding vibrations etc, never having any idea about my vest. Even though I think she is full of BS it got into my pshyche a bit.

I was on bed rest for 2 days, light duty a 3rd and I couldnt bring myself to do my vest or any PT---dumb I know, someoene please tell me how dumb!

Today I decided I will do it with the bottom unclasped whcih on my respirtech is still more than a chest vest. I miscarried on our 3rd FET and I am a bit paranoid now. I have googled every variation of vibrations, car rides, pregnancy, jostling, early miscarriage, everything and found no scientific fact anywhere.

I did not use the vest last time we were pregnant so I cant rely on that to insubstantiate my fears. Any other IVF'ers out there?
