Vertigo....

I would have your dr's check your iron level.
The time I had this problem, I was anemic and didn't know it. I had nasty dizzy spells and would vomit. I had it a year or more before they found my iron levels were really low, and I had to get iron infusions. The dizziness stopped after that. As it turns out, I was anemic because of bleeding ovarian/uterus cysts. (they also first assumed it was allergies or O2)

oh, and the anti-dizzy (antivert) didn't help me either.

Rocks in your head? Seriously, I've heard of people getting calcium deposits in their eustacian tubes, which affects balance and make people very dizzy -- like they've got a hangover. Can't remember the term -- but it involved going to a specialist to do manipulations to the neck, head to eventually get them to "drain" out.

I had dizziness for a few weeks a while back ( theres an old post on here somewhere way back) Went to a Neurologist, and an ENT. Never found the exact cause since everything seemed fine. I was taking antivert for it but i dont think it did anything. What's odd is one day i realized it was gone as mysteriously as it came. I would definitely talk to your Dr. about this and probably see an ENT or a Neurologist and try to get to the bottom of it. Good luck and i hope you feel better soon<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I had vertigo about 4 years ago. It was awful!!! I do not have CF, though. What happened to me was that a fell down my stairs really hard(never hit my head), the fall must have knocked the little crystals in my ears loose and threw off my equilibrium. It took forever for them to figure it out. Anyway, certain antibiotics can cause ototoxicity; have you been on IV's? Also, taking a lot of asprin can do it. The doc would have given me antivert but I was breastfeeding and wouldn't take it. There are certain exersizes to do to try to get the inner ear crystals back into place, as well. It took several months for the vertigo to go away completely.
