My question is: is there any prove that the vest is beneficial? I called insurance myself last week and was so upset with them. There reason is that there is not enough prove that the vest is beneficial or better than manual and he hasn't been in the hospital much. My response was that you don't understand that 90% of CF is preventative treatments and we work hard so that he doesn't go to the hospital. I asked if they would like to pay for more hospital bills and that the vest is alot more independent for them to do and more compliant. She said unless the doc could come up with some prove that it would still be denied. UUHG</end quote></div>
I am sure Julie could help with this, but if you cant prove that the Vest is beneficial or better then maybe use MORE COMPLIANCE versus not having ANY cpt. I realize it is a bit extreme, but not totally off base. Just a thought!
