See the thing is I've been reading some medical publications that say vit D supplimentation does not work so well. That the only real way to get vit D is by UV (sun).

What I'm talking about is a few minutes of tanning bed.. not enough to burn. What would be the difference between this "UV lamp" and a tanning bed?
